When the Trump International Hotel, Washington D.C., opens next week, the priciest room in the 263-room hotel will be the Trump Townhouse. The two-story, 6,300-square-foot space, which has two bedrooms, a dining room for more than 20, and a private entrance on Pennsylvania Avenue, will run visitors $18,750 on a normal night. But on Inauguration Day in January, the price will increase more than fivefold, according to the New York Times.
The $100,000 nightly rate will also come with a five-day minimum stay, meaning it’s going to cost someone half-a-million dollars to stay in the Trump Townhouse. Who would pay that much for a hotel room? How about the Trump campaign, which has made a habit of funneling money back to Trump’s own businesses.
