Pregnant J.Lo Still Wears ‘Gucci Gucci Goo!’We were delighted to discover when we arrived at Wednesday’s Gucci party that we weren’t the only ones totally awestruck in the presence of Madonna. As we interviewed Women’s Murder Club star Angie Harmon, she became visibly nervous when Madonna walked up the red carpet behind her. “I’ve been running around Fashion Week,” she stuttered, trying to stay on topic. Then she interrupted herself and burst out to her date, hairdresser Stephen Knoll, “Did you just say ‘Hi’ to Madonna?!” she gushed. “I’m totally freaking out! You said ‘Hi’ to Madonna!” Harmon turned back to us and admitted, “I can’t handle it! I’ve never met her. Probably won’t get up the nerve to do it tonight. Look at Lourdes! Look at how big she is! I bet she has a British accent.” We bet she does, too. Most of the rest of the celebrities, who included Jennifer Lopez, Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Gwyneth Paltrow, Gwen Stefani, Salma Hayek, and Drew Barrymore, didn’t stop to chat on the red carpet. But when we asked the hugely pregnant Lopez what she was wearing when she tottered by on four-inch heels, she replied, “Gucci Gucci Goo!”

Margherita Missoni to Abandon New YorkAt last night’s Snowflake Ball to benefit UNICEF, we asked everyone awkward questions about the future to prepare them for their holidays with nosy Aunt Susan. DavidLaurenBush, are you getting engaged? (“I don’t know!” laughed the Lauren half of the socialite organism). Maggie Betts, will your dad, Roland, have a job for his BFF George Bush when he retires the presidency? (“I don’t think he’ll need one,” said Maggie, who was arm in arm with Barbara Bush herself. “But I think my dad will give him anything he wants!”). When we got to Margherita Missoni, we couldn’t think of anything tough to ask her, so we threw her a softball. What do you love about New York City? “I’m not in love with New York right now,” she said. “I’m thinking of moving back to Europe.” Oh, no! Is it because they shut down SocialiteRank.com? We’ll try to write about you more, we promise! “I’m not sure if I’ll go back to Italy. Maybe London or Paris. I long to be back in Europe,” Missoni explained. “I’ve been in New York four years. I miss my family and everything. I wasn’t born in America, and I loved it — it was great when I first came here. But after four years it’s like…” Missoni didn’t finish her sentence. She said she preferred how everything in Europe is close together, but we weren’t listening anymore. All we could think of was, with Margherita gone, there will only be 49 other top-tier socialites for us to care about! —Amy Odell

Sarah Jessica Parker Wants You to Hydrate New York City, as we all know, has the best tap water in the world — it does, dammit! — so it should be no problem for you to drink a big ole glass or two when you eat out today. As Sarah Jessica Parker pointed out by downing the clear stuff in front of photographers at the Hearst Tower last night, today is World Water Day. When you order a glass at participating restaurants around the city, you’ll be asked to donate a buck to UNICEF’s TAP Project, which provides clean drinking water to the 21 percent of developing-world children who have none. So go ahead. Chug. —Jada Yuan The TAP Project [Official site]
