Profile
Though it's also called the Visual Arts Museum, the SVA Gallery is only two rooms. Yet this mini-museum plays host to design world luminaries with an annual Masters Series often focused on artists whose work is recognizable even if their names are not (e.g., Hitchcock collaborator Saul Bass or Hebrew National adman Ed McCabe). If a retrospective for someone like cartoonist Jules Feiffer pulls in the larger crowd of pop-culture junkies, other textbook tributes and MFA group shows still get a decent turnout of students guilt-tripped by their professors or loyal to their friends.
