With dripping candles, industrial pendant lamps, and unfinished walls, the décor at Evelyn feels almost like a rough-edged tavern. But it’s offset by a slightly baroque, living room appeal, with furniture like a Windsor chair and the odd tan leather couch sharing space with vintage ceiling fans and turntables sitting on a dresser. The cocktail menu features drinks like the Yardbird, a whiskey-based citrus swirl, and Daisy Ferrigno, a mint-spruced gin delight. The bar also serves a small selection of wines from California, Spain and France, draft beer (Estrella Damm pale lager), and 7 types of bottled beer.
