The lowdown

Don’t be afraid to bust out some chaps and a cowboy hat at this Hell’s Kitchen Western-themed gay bar where the staff (known as the “Flaming Saddles Bandits”) do-si-do on the bar top like an all-male version of Coyote Ugly. Though the physical space is not as large as that of other theme bars (you won’t find a mechanical bull here), the tight-jeans and boot-wearing bartenders help heighten the ambience along with blaring country music. Drinks are reasonably priced as is their menu of Tex-Mex-style bar food (which includes chili and hamburgers). Don’t come seeking a date spot where you can languorously stare into your companion’s eyes all night — there may be too many distractions for that. Instead, come with friends (all ages welcome) and throw back a few cold ones when you’re in the party mood.
