Great mix of live bands and DJs in a space that’s a former piano store.

158 Ludlow St., New York, NY, 10002

Known For

The lowdown

In October 2002, a Parisian-style bi-level bar and music venue opened in an old piano shop without bothering to change the sign. Since then, it’s been sucking multitudes of chic scenesters out of Brooklyn and back down to the Lower East Side for DJs and good times, forcing jaded locals to hole up elsewhere and bitch (yet again) about the unwelcome invasion — before trickling down the block themselves once they’re good and drunk.
