This huge Gowanus space with a sprawling backyard wears many hats.

Known For

The lowdown

This huge Gowanus space with a sprawling backyard has several functions: brewery — a 15-barrel operation with an “affinity for farmhouse ales and wild yeast” — full bar, events space for readings and the like; and a venue for pop-ups and rotating restaurants (Roberta’s, Prime Meats, and Mile End have all been temporary residents). In addition to approximately six beers brewed on-site, a selection of 14 more, half of which are typically local, even hyperlocal, like the Other Half, from a brewery less than two miles away, are available on tap. Combine this with friendly staff, snack-y food, plenty of outdoor seating, and coffee from Ninth Street Espresso, and you could easily find yourself here for hours.
