The only remaining vestiges of this 2,400 square-foot space's former incarnation as a bank are a few tasty period details that owner Fabien Azoulay has incorporated into a unique blend of old Gotham and New Age: High, molded ceilings now sprout track lighting; chunky marble balustrades buttress a series of dimly lit massage rooms; and blue glass tiles adorn hefty Roman columns. On the spa's mezzanine level, a bright, open floor plan combines mani/pedi and hair-styling stations with private rooms for laser and waxing treatments. Upstairs the ambience is less clinical, with an array of fragrant massage rooms for singles and couples. In addition to Swedish, Thai, deep tissue, shiatsu, hot stone, sports, and aromatherapy rubdowns, clients can experience an exotic Bamboo Massage which incorporates standard Swedish hand technique with essential oil-soaked bamboo rods that are rolled on the arms, legs, back, and soles of the feet. The Hydrolifting Mask Treatment is a soothing, multi-step facial that combines enzymatic exfoliation, moisturizing, and gentle massage to activate circulation and stimulate collagen; it leaves dry, angry skin looking fresh and aglow. Shira, G.M. Collin are the products of choice, and estheticians customize every client's facial to match his or her specific skin type.
ExtraPrinted on the wall above the main reception area is the impermeable and ghostly slogan, "Save and have interest accounts" from the building's former incarnation as a bank.
