This versatile Chelsea salon is helmed by master stylist Xavier (Xac) Cruz and co-owner Anthony Valente. The plush waiting area is lit by glowing glass columns and the haircutting stations feature large, floor-to-ceiling mirrors. Cruz is adept at both cuts and color, and clients shell out up to $100 more per cut to snag a seat at his station. The other six stylists and two colorists are trained intensively in-house and given free rein with their clients: some finesse Agyness Deyn pixie cuts and others specialize in Japanese straightening treatments or low-ammonia color. — Karen Tina Harrison
