Profile

Meant for the tiniest of tots, this haunted house has the attendant coterie of ghoulish characters, from ghosts and skeletons, and the occasional prop that springs to life. A graveyard is staged for further creepy antics, but parents can rest easy. The actors know when to ease off in front of kids, often reserving the full effect for adults. The scariest thing about this five-minute jaunt might possibly be the house itself. Dating from 1772, the Adriance Farm House has been host to several rumors of strange noises and apparitions. — Tara Kilachand
