Kamp Katrina

Ashley Sabin and David Redmon’s poignant documentary looks at a small, eccentric community of Hurricane Katrina survivors shacking up with a couple whose home suffered relatively little damage in the period following the storm. As might be expected, the filmmakers’ cameras do capture (beautifully and unflinchingly) a harrowing breakdown of social order. The result is a slight little film with a remarkable generosity of spirit.
