Review

We have no qualms admitting how much we’ve enjoyed the Martin Lawrence Motion Picture Era—single-handedly, and with little to no fanfare, the man’s been turning half-baked Hollywood concepts into late-night TBS satisfaction for more than ten years. (While the masses quote the played-out Old School, we roll with Blue Streak: “Move your busted-ass vehicle! This is the LAPD! We got guns and shit!”) Roscoe Jenkins—in which Lawrence plays a peacockish L.A. talk-show host, brought down to earth by a trip back to his southern hometown—is sure to continue his (criminally unheralded) winning streak.
