Psychedelia has suddenly become groovy again. Take the unlikely rise of the song "Balada do Louco"—originally recorded in 1972 by Os Mutantes—to No. 38 on the Brazilian charts earlier this year. Best known for their role as architects of the Tropicalia movement, not to mention their prodigious use of LSD, the chamber-pop foursome reunited in 2006.
