Profile
Danielle Cefaro and Benjamin Stutz opened Brooklyn Homebrew in the summer of 2009 simply because, “there wasn’t one, and we were sick of ordering online.” Brewing startup kits range from $40 (“Bare Bones”) to $265 (“Quintessential”), and multiple bottles of all shapes and sizes can be purchased by the case. The owners, who have been brewing their own beer for more than eight years, put together a list of their own tried and true ingredient kits with recipes reasonably priced from $29-40. The list includes beers like a classic American IPA to the more adventurous Summer Loving Cream Ale. The more advanced or experimental brewers can choose from a long list of hops, malts, yeast, and spices to concoct their own strange brew.
