Profile
C. Wonder’s venture capitalist owner Christopher (Tory’s ex) Burch pulled out all the stops for his brand’s flagship digs. Outside the store, a bright green banner carrying the signature gilded “C” beckons shoppers, who are welcomed through heavy neon and gold-encrusted doors to a 7,200-square-foot space kitted out with geometric floor tiles and walls adorned with green and white pinstripes. An army of denim and cotton-clad staff are available to help shoppers navigate the dizzying range of options, which include monogrammed chopping boards, statement jewelry, travel accessories and more playful items like platters decorated with French bulldogs. And of course, there are plenty of clothes, like skinny jeans, striped shirts and foldable velvet ballet flats, worth trying on if only to check out the fitting rooms, which are decked out with electronic devices allowing for a customizable lighting and music experience.
