Owner Yvonne Fox named her Tribeca pet shop after her now-departed Chow-Samoyed-Retriever mix. She stocks the small, general store–like space with hearty, rustic-gourmet vittles by Merrick, Fromm, and California Natural; “Turducken” and “Grammy’s Pot Pie” are among the flavors. Barrels and baskets of treats like natural bones and pig ears greet four-legged visitors at the front of the store, while the back has wooden cubbies filled with hefty sacks of dried foodstuffs. Despite the trading-post feel, shelves of grooming products like three-in-one nail clippers and green-tea shampoos give the store a decidedly cosmopolitan twist. A select range of coat-treating multivitamins, hot-spot medications, and eye wipes toe the line between health and beauty, while a small rack of seeds and cage bedding caters to birds and hamsters. For pets with busy owners, Dudley’s also offers a few out-of-store services like dog-walking and dog- and cat-sitting. — Alex Littlefield
