With unfinished floors, an aluminum entrance ramp, and two glass walls, Half Pint has an industrial design worthy of its Dumbo location. Sisters Randi and Jenny Song opened their children’s store in 2005 where Baby Bazaar used to be. Tourists as well as fashionable neighborhood moms frequent the spacious store, which stocks almost all organic and ecofriendly children's clothes, toys, and accessories. One of the star items is the store's own line of Brooklyn T-shirts with soft flocking and metallic lettering, available in both mom and kid sizes. Half Pint keeps the local vibe strong with other unique items, like Munipals's toy subway trains and clothes by Kit + Lili, two New York moms who favor bright, geometric prints. Though there are Paul Frank clothes up to size 16, the focus is on newborns through age 8. A standout shoe section features hard-to-find Naturino loafers and Vincent wallies with flamingo, zebra, and cheetah prints. And high-end strollers from Phil & Ted, UPPAbaby, and Bugaboo fill a large section in the back, which also holds a shelf of baby-safe organic facial toners, room sprays, and bottom soothers.
