Named after owner Gina Pagano’s mother and mother-in-law, this pristine boutique focuses on luxurious dresses, coats, and accessories by emerging Hispanic designers from Los Angeles and New York. Pulled from the catwalk and independent showrooms, the store’s stable of around 10 designers favors textured fabrics and offbeat silhouettes, like versatile silk wrap dresses from Red Hook’s Butter by Nadia, Nave’s dark knit shrugs woven with subtle gold thread, tailored black rompers from Williamsburg designers Redtoenails, and purple denim tunics by Rojas. The space’s simple, elegant design provides a gallery-like setting for the clothes, with white walls, polished black flooring, and a sitting area outfitted with white leather chairs and fashion-themed coffee table books. A tall glass shelf in the center of the room bears giftable scented votives and mini snakeskin handbags, while cases by the register display ceramic cameo necklaces from Rella jewelry. A limited selection of vintage apparel at the back of the store includes colorful polyester blouses and retro knit dresses, but most shoppers forgo dated classics for up-and-coming discoveries.
