Profile
Vera Wang’s chic Soho shop is the first location to stock her ready-to-wear collection in its entirety. Designed by Gabellini Sheppard Associates—the group behind retail destinations like Jil Sander and Giorgio Armani—the spacious, two-floor boutique features high ceilings and a cool, all-white aesthetic, from scrims and wall panels to pristine clothing racks and furniture. LCD-lighting changes color and brightness to complement the clothes on display, and Wang’s latest runway show is projected against a large front-facing wall. Racks on both levels are filled with pieces from the contemporary line, offering jewel-tone silk cocktail dresses, cashmere knits, embroidered tops, cigarette pants, and sheer tanks. Low tables on the first floor are adorned with shoes, jewelry and bags, and nearby racks bear items from Wang’s lower-priced Lavender collection, like tweed pencil skirts, gauzy printed dresses, and tailored blazers.
