April Fools

Seven comedy shows to catch this week.

On April 1, Sinbad is no joke.

Undateable Comedy Tour
Carolines on Broadway; 3/31 at 7:30 p.m.; 1626 Broadway., nr. 50th St.; 212-757-4100
Chris D’Elia, Ron Funches, Rick Glassman, and Brent Morin from the NBC show Undateable make cases for why you should love them—or at least give their show a shot—with individual stand-up sets.

Haunting Renditions With Eliot Glazer
The Bell House; 3/31 at 8 p.m.; 149 7th St., nr. Second Ave., Gowanus, Brooklyn; 718-643-6510
Glazer is that rare but necessary combination of classically trained singer and UCB-trained comedian. He puts both to use here, where he takes pop songs and turns them into ballads. With guests Jon Glaser and Broad City’s Abbi Jacobson.

Selected Shorts: April Foolery
Symphony Space; 4/1 at 7:30 p.m.; 2537 Broadway., at 95th St.; 212-864-5400
In our opinion, Sigourney Weaver doesn’t get enough credit for her sense of humor. That will change tonight, when she joins comedians Colin Quinn, Jon Glaser, Maulik Pancholy, and Dave Hill to cover the landscape of funny fiction, in honor of the comedic April 1 holiday.

HOT 97 April Fools Comedy Show
The Theater at MSG; 4/1 at 8 p.m.; 4 Penn Plz., nr. 32nd St.; 212-465-6741
It's a day for jokes, so get your fill of them with this lineup of Sinbad, Lavell Crawford, Damon Wayans Jr., Donell Rawlings, Rob Stapleton, and Deon Cole. Hosted by Corey Holcomb. Check your seats for whoopee cushions beforehand.

Grown Woman: "Clench & Release" Season 2 Screening and Comedy Show
Littlefield; 4/1 at 7:30 p.m.; 622 Degraw St., nr. Fourth Ave., Gowanus, Brooklyn; 718-855-3388
Comedian and writer Charla Lauriston (The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) heads up this night of funny ladies discussing those crazy happenings that could only take place in New York. Followed by a screening of Lauriston’s web series Clench & Release.

The Tank; 4/4 at 9:30 p.m.; 151 W 46th St., nr. Seventh Ave.; 212-563-6269
Commiserate at this sanctioned evening of eavesdropping combining affairs of the heart and comedy, hosted by Lynn Bixenspan and Morgan Pielli. First storytellers Jo Firestone, Soojeong Son, and Anna Drezen relate vignettes of heartbreak and hilarity, then writer and filmmaker Mark Pagan gets on the couch for relationship advice from actual therapists and experts. Take notes.

The Soundtrack Series
QED Astoria; 4/4 at 7 p.m.; 27-16 23rd Ave., nr. 28th St., Astoria, Queens; 347-451-3873
A live podcast celebrating the sounds of life, when writers and performers take the stage to share memories associated with songs from their past. Be ready to laugh, cry, and possibly get tunes stuck in your head.
