Your Weekend Agenda

Events to check out this weekend, June 15–18.

Sigur Rós performs in Queens on Saturday.

1. There are a few good reasons to head to Queens this weekend, first for Kevin Spacey's Thursday and Friday performances of Clarence Darrow, about the legendary lawyer, at Arthur Ashe Stadium. He even made a video about it.

2. And on Saturday, the ethereal Sigur Rós is at Forest Hills Stadium as part of a very special, stripped-down world tour. The show consists of the band’s core trio playing two career-spanning sets with no opener.

3. The Mermaid Parade swims ashore on Saturday, with Deborah Harry and Chris Stein of Blondie onboard.

4. And if you haven't heard, LCD Soundsytem is back, again. They kick off a second mini-residency at Brooklyn Steel on Friday.

5. Celebrate Father's Day early on Saturday with Bats! Brats! And Beer!, an old-timey baseball game played with 1864 rules at the Bartow-Pell Mansion. Refreshments will be available on-site.

6. And if you're looking for things to do with the big guy on Sunday, we have a list, from dance to steak.

7. This Friday, the Bronx Zoo Treetop opens. It's a separate park (with separate tickets) featuring ziplines over the Bronx River, climbing activities, and more aerial adventures.

8. Also on Friday the 16th is Bloomsday, the date depicted in James Joyce's Ulysses. Symphony Space and the Irish Arts Center collaborate for an event of authors and actors reading key parts of the novel, which was famously banned in the United States. Be ready for anything, and happy weekend!
