Two-time Academy Award® winner Tom Hanks makes his Broadway debut this March in the world premiere of Nora Ephron’s play Lucky Guy.
The play marks a return to the potent Hanks-Ephron magic that produced classics such as Sleepless in Seattle and You’ve Got Mail. In Lucky Guy, Ephron mines her journalistic roots in this story about gritty and scandal-ridden 1980s New York. Directed by two-time Tony Award® winner George C. Wolfe, Hanks plays famed tabloid columnist Mike McAlary, who won the Pulitzer Prize shortly before his untimely death on Christmas Day, 1998.
