People are buzzing about the cover of the new Rolling Stone, where Al Gore seems to be showing off an impressive bulge in his khakis. “We didn’t enhance it or anything,” says associate photo editor Audrey Landreth. “Once I saw the shoot, I was like, Wow, okay … now you’re gonna vote for him, right?” She adds that it’s a happy accident: “His pants just happen to be baggy, and you’re not used to seeing him at that angle, with that light.” Gore spokesman Douglas Hattaway, after laughing for a good 30 seconds, had less to say: “I’m not gonna comment on that – but you can say that it didn’t catch my eye.”
