Who hasn’t combed the beach hoping for “the big find” of a gigantic conch shell? I’ve even bought those damn shells and lugged them home (they’re heavy) only to find that when I get them home, they’re a tad disappointing. Beautiful? Absolutely. Useful? Not really. They’ve all ended up in storage. These puppies, however, are most definitely useful—they’re bookends. They’re useful not in a tacky way, but in a pretty damn cool cast-iron way that will stand up to the heftiest of art books. At $40 they’re a great hostess gift for you perennial Hamptons houseguests.
