Get an exclusive taste of the city’s future food scene at City Flavors — a Night of Local Bites, where 20 emerging food entrepreneurs will make their high-profile tasting-event debut at the High Line. All residents of New York Public Housing, they are graduates of Food Business Pathways, which equipped them with the tools to launch their enterprises. For the event, the entrepreneurs are being mentored by well-known chefs and food experts who will support them at their City Flavors stations. Mentors include Jessica Weiss, pastry chef for four of Union Square Hospitality Group’s restaurants, including Marta and Maialino; Clark Wolf, specialty food expert, and TV and radio host; and Bill Telepan, executive chef of Oceana. NYxNY members will receive general-admission tickets for $75 ($95 value) and a meet and greet with a City Flavors chef participant and his or her mentor chef at their station.
