Since I no longer have any idea, from day to day, if New York is going to feel like Tampa or Toronto (thanks, global warming!), I’ve become hugely dependent on a new gadget called the AccuWeather 5-day Wireless Weather Forecaster. No more waiting on NY1’s “Weather on the 1’s,” because this little device (it’s smaller than a CD case) receives continually updated wireless weather reports from the AccuWeather service. It shows the current temperature and the expected highs and lows for the next four days, along with a simple little graphic conveying sunny, cloudy, rainy, snowy, etc. All you do is put in two AAA batteries, give it some time to lock into the AccuWeather signal, and you’re done. Plus, it’s got a magnetic back so you can stick it on the fridge. This thing is effortless.
