Last season, pant legs blew up and we braved the wide silhouette. This time, designers like Stella McCartney and Christian Lacroix inflated sleeves. J.Crew’s simplified version, sold only in solid ivory or black, is a wallet-friendly way to sample the trend. The straight-fit, crewneck “Rivoli” blouse has three large buttons down the back as well as hidden snaps. And the luxe silk fabric makes the top a terrific transition piece from office to holiday party. Just be sure to balance out the top-heavy proportion with some slim pants, unless you’re going for the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man look.
