Is there any culinary disappointment more common and more heartbreaking than discovering that the leftovers you’ve been craving have already turned? Even after you’ve meticulously shrouded them in tinfoil or plastic wrap or tucked them into Tupperware? Sharper Image had you (and everyone) in mind when their product engineers created the new FresherLonger Miracle Food Storage Containers, which are made of high-tech polypropylene that’s infused with naturally antibacterial, antifungal silver nanoparticles. Everything else about these containers is normal: they’re shatterproof and dishwasher-safe, they have snap-lock lids, and they’re translucent. But food you stick in them will last days longer than usual. I’ve had strawberries last, eerily, a week. The twelve-piece set includes an array of sizes ranging from 11 to 250 ounces. By the way, the containers are supposedly microwaveable, but I’ve had a couple warp a bit after zapping them, so I don’t recommend it.
$70 for a twelve-piece set at Sharper Image.
