Sweet Pad

Remember mouse pads? Those grimy, disgusting, spongy things that used to be paired with old-school computer mice? I assumed that I didn’t need one anymore because I have an optical mouse. But sometimes when I use it on a different surface—like on my dining-room table, which has a semi-shiny surface—it gets confused and the cursor skips around. After doing a gratuitous amount of research, I’m happy to recommend the new Wow!Pad, an eight-inch circle of anti-static, anti-bacterial PVC plastic whose wipe-clean, lightly textured matte surface allows your mouse to always know exactly where it is and what it should be doing. It’s lightweight (around one ounce), has a nonskid backing, and is so ultrathin you can stick it in a file folder for when you take your laptop on the road.
