With its retrofuturistic styling, the just-released Nike Amp+ watch manages to look both super-geeky and super-cool at the same time. The display spells out the time in dot-matrixy LEDs, and if you’ve got the Nike+iPod Sport Kit—that popular little $29 remote-control and running-shoe-sensor thingy, sold separately, that lets you track your run (distance, time, pace, calories burned)—you can also use this watch to control your iPod nano (the LEDs reconfigure to show the symbols for play, pause, etc.). Hilariously, there’s even a Power Song button to instantly cue up your favorite sprint-inducing ballad. Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars,” anyone?
