Several years ago, Philippe Starck created hand weights in a revolutionary new shape using just one piece of steel. Though beautiful and expensive, they were slippery when wet. Nike has since perfected the design, distributing the weight more evenly and adding a layer of rubber so the weights stay in hand. The streamlined form also means easier storage for space-challenged New Yorkers.
