The Greenpoint kitsch emporium Fred Flare opens in Chelsea Market on Tuesday, testing the waters for a permanent Manhattan outpost next year. One of sixteen vendors at the market’s annual gift bazaar, the 500-square-foot shop will carry a stocking-ready stash of cards, games, housewares, books, and oddball accessories—from miniaturized air-hockey tables ($36) to steroidal, eight-inch-tall gummy bears ($12) (75 Ninth Ave., nr. 15th St.; 12/9 to 12/23).
