This Bedside Rug From Madewell (of All Places) Is Just $32

A rug? From Madewell? Indeed. Earlier this spring, the retailer partnered with the New Denim Project, a Guatemala-based “sustainable design lab,” on a range of pieces “inspired by ’70s handwork” and crafted from upcycled leftover textiles. There are patchwork kimono jackets and flowy pants, but also pillows, hand towels, and this rug — all of which happen to be on sale, and on top of that an extra 20 percent off at the moment. This two-foot-by-three-foot cotton rug is perfect for a bedside, or even in a front hall. It’s also available in a darker indigo hue. And for $32, it’s a nice alternative to the who-knows-what-they’re-made-out-of rugs you’d find for the same price around town.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
