Everything I’m Buying During Soko Glam’s (Delightfully Early) Black Friday Sale

Soko Glam is giving us an early taste of Black Friday, and it tastes really, really good: Everything on the site is currently 30 percent off (with the code SGBF19). I’ve never been secretive about the fact that Soko Glam is home to some of my all-time favorite K-beauty skin-care brands and products. So I’m personally using this sale to stock up on some holy grails that I always rebuy — including a bottle of smoothing Cosrx Snail Mucin, a pack of zit-shrinking Pimple Patches, and the makeup-melting Then I Met You Cleansing Balm. Below, I’ve rounded up all of my absolute all-time favorites that I plan to buy during Soko Glam’s Black Friday sale.

Surely by now you all know the wonders of pimple patches. Any time these go on sale I buy them in bulk. You can never have too many! Plus, they’re the best stocking stuffers ever.

My favorite (admittedly quite pricey) hair oil is on sale! It’s the most lightweight, smoothing oil I’ve ever used and a tiny little bit goes a very long way. If you’ve been wanting to try this out, but have been discouraged by the price, get it now!

This is one my favorite pimple-busting sheet masks. Whether you’re having a bad hormonal breakout, or you’ve just picked at your skin, this mask will save you. It calms, heals, and reduces redness and inflammation so that your skin looks less angry the day after you use it.

This serum is jam-packed with black chokeberry, licorice root extract, and a whopping 20 percent concentration of vitamin C. So if your skin is in need of some serious brightening, and you only want to buy one thing from this sale, get this.

If your skin is too sensitive for the above serum (some find such a high concentration of vitamin C irritating) but still needs some brightening up, try mixing this powder into one of your existing skin-care products, like a cleanser, an essence, or a toner. You’ll notice results quickly, and you won’t freak your skin out.

Collagen, for the most part, is derived from cows and fish, which can be tricky if you’re vegan or even veg-leaning. This particular serum, on the other hand, contains mushroom extract, a plant-based alternative that stimulates collagen production and helps reduce wrinkles. This formula also includes soothing centella and aloe, and brightening licorice root extract, making it a stiff nourishing, plumping, and brightening cocktail.

This ultra-lightweight, deeply hydrating and brightening concoction from Neogen is a really great, straightforward essence. Packed with natural brighteners and antioxidants such as birch juice, rice extract, and saccharomyces ferment filtrate, this product magically makes your skin look juicier, plumper, and more nourished all-around. I’ll love it forever.

Cosrx’s snail-mucin essence is not at all lightweight, but definitely powerful. This goopy, sticky wonder product is a must-have for anyone dealing with acne, scarring, or scabs, because it rapidly heals, smoothes, and hydrates skin (as in: if you put it on before bed, you’ll notice a difference come morning). It’s an absolute must-try if you haven’t already (and if you haven’t already: get on it).

This line is all vegan and cruelty-free, which needless to say, I love. I think of this mask as the perfect thing to throw on when you’re not exactly sure what your skin needs — because it kind of does it all! It calms redness and irritation (thanks to the cypress-tree oil in the formula) and makes sure your skin is super-plump and moisturized (it also has avocado extract and sodium hyaluronate). I love using this mask on hungover days. Plus, it has a cute little cat on it!

This is my go-to gift for any of my friends who are gym rats or frequent flyers. The stick formula means it is leak-proof and TSA-friendly (perfect for tossing in your bag, in other words). It takes off all your makeup fast, and won’t dry you out (the green tea is calming and soothing). Apply it on wet skin, rub until it suds up, then wash it off.

This calming nighttime “sleeping pack” (a.k.a. nighttime moisturizer) is packed with soothing birch-tree sap and chamomile, which calms and mega-hydrates the skin while you sleep. Now is an especially good time to use it, because the heat is on high in every building, and it’s getting chilly outside.
