A Running List of the Best On Sale Skin Care at Sephora

One of my favorite beauty sales, Sephora’s Annual Holiday Savings, has arrived. Whether you’re simply in the market for a new, non-stripping cleanser or are hoping to snag an early holiday gift for your skin-care-savvy sister, this is going to be the place to do it. From now until November 9, Rouge members (those beauty fiends who spend $1,000 or more annually) get 20 percent off their purchase(s) with the code HOLIDAYFUN. Then, from November 3–9, the sale opens to VIB members (second tier-ers — those who spend $350 during the year), who will get 15 percent off. And finally, Sephora Insiders (anyone with a Sephora account) will get 10 percent off from November 5–9. Below, a list of all the skin care worth buying, including a barrier-replenishing CBD moisturizer and Drew Barrymore’s favorite exfoliant.

Note: The prices below reflect the Rouge member’s discount.

This skin-conditioning and ultra-moisturizing essence is an excellent way to add a deep boost of moisture to your routine in preparation for the upcoming winter — it uses healing and hydrating ingredients like green tea and algae. Also, this is apparently one of Skin Care by Hyram’s favorite products out of the whole Tatcha line.

This vanilla-y, shea, and murumuru-butter rich formula is one of my very favorite hydrating lip balms for combating chapped and flaky lips. You’ll be happy you have this once your apartment heating kicks in.

This totally clear chemical sunscreen from Supergoop! is one of my all-time favorites. Not only does it leave zero white cast but it also works as an excellent skin-smoothing primer for makeup.

This is a serious exfoliating treatment — it uses a blend of 25 percent AHA and 2 percent BHA to resurface, tone, and illuminate your complexion. Drew Barrymore, a skin-care obsessive in her own right, is a known fan.

If you have very dry skin (like me), you’ll likely love this SPF-infused moisturizer. It has a lightweight yet deeply nourishing formula with wonderful, broad-spectrum protective benefits.

This exfoliating tonic from Moon Juice has developed a kind of cultlike following, as many people (including my friend Maya) swear that it serves as a dupe to celebrity-beloved Biologique’s P50.

One of my very favorite face oils, this uses a blend of tetrahexyldecyl (a gentle, lipid-based vitamin C) and plant-based squalane (an emollient that locks in moisture) to keep your skin nourished and hydrated, even on the coldest and windiest of winter days.

This cleansing balm from Glow Recipe uses papaya enzymes, blueberry extract, and papaya-seed oil to resurface, hydrate, and protect the skin as you remove all the sweat, makeup, and sunscreen from the day. This is an excellent first step for an evening double cleanse.

I adore this gentle, non-stripping, SLS-free bodywash from Necessaire. It comes in three different scents: fragrance-free, sandalwood, and eucalyptus. This is one of my no-fail, go-to Christmas gifts for family and friends.

This is one of my very favorite aluminum-free deodorants. It does a genuinely good job at masking body odor, and the kaolin clay helps keep your underarms dry. This is a great pick for someone who is looking to make the transition to a natural deodorant. Like the bodywash, it comes in the three classic Necessaire scents: fragrance-free, eucalyptus, and sandalwood. I like eucalyptus best!

This is a luxurious, CBD-infused serum that helps nourish and replenish the skin while also calming down any kind of inflammation or redness. I like using this on eczema patches as well as on stubborn zits!

This is a treatment mask you can wear overnight whenever your skin is looking particularly dull or feeling extra tight and dry. It uses THD (the same gentle, fatty vitamin C that’s in the Biossance oil), squalane for hydration, hyaluronic acid for moisture, and an antioxidant-rich superberry blend. This mask won Allure’s Best of Beauty in 2019 for its ability to deliver an intense surge of moisture to dry, dull, or uneven complexions.

This incredibly soothing, hydrating moisturizer from Lord Jones uses 250 mg of CBD, ceramides, hyaluronic acid, and squalane to create an ultra-moisturizing, skin-quenching cream that heals, replenishes, and rejuvenates compromised skin barriers. In other words: It is a healing, soothing delight for any kind of extremely dry or irritated skin.

These absolutely adorable and effective retinol-rich eye masks are a great way to plump up and hydrate your stressed-out under eyes.

These 5 percent AHA peel pads from Goop are some of my favorite exfoliants around. They use glycolic acid to buff away dead skin cells and even out your complexion, Australian Kakadu plum for antioxidant and skin-protective benefits, and three different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid to deliver moisture to your complexion. Whenever I use these pads, I wake up with ultrasmooth and radiant skin.

If you’re lucky enough to have a bathtub in NYC (I do not!), I recommend this wonderful sea-salt soak from Goop, which is relaxing, and can help remedy achy muscles. Just pour one cup into the tub.

This resurfacing mask from Tata Harper has beauty awards from both Byrdie and Allure for good reason: it effectively sloughs off dead skin to reveal a smooth and radiant complexion. This is an extremely effective treatment that’s perfect for use every couple of months.

This gentle, gel-based cleanser is excellent for sensitive, oily-leaning skin types. It’s formula includes phytonutrient and vitamin-rich kale, soothing spinach, and antioxidant-packed green tea to nourish and calm the skin as you cleanse.

This shower body scrub uses a blend of coconut oil and brown sugar to gently scrub, exfoliate, and polish your body without stripping or irritating your skin. It, I should note, smells incredible.

This retinol serum uses lactic acid and 2.2 percent encapsulated retinol to carefully resurface, refine, and add radiance to your complexion. There’s a reason why so many celebrities — such as Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Chrissy Teigen, and Jessica Alba, to name a few — swear by it.

These hydrocolloid pimple patches are infused with salicylic acid and aloe vera, so they work to soothe and reduce the size of a zit while they suck up excess oil.

These lightweight, chemical sunscreen drops from Coola are a favorite of beauty podcast host Jackie Johnson for their ability to quickly absorb into the skin.

This super lightweight yet deeply hydrating moisturizer delivers a big hit of moisture to your skin without leaving any greasiness or oiliness behind. It incorporates hyaluronic acid and antioxidant-rich honey, which nourish and calm your skin. It’s perfect, in my opinion, for combination skin types.

Meghan Markle, Kate Hudson, and beauty guru Caroline Hirons are all big Kate Somerville fans — the brand is known for is potent, highly effective formulas. This recovery serum uses a peptide complex, as well as ginger-root extract and tasmannia lanceolata fruit extract to calm, hydrate, and relieve any redness. This is great for those with dry or sensitive skin types.
