All the Best Presidents’ Day Mattress Deals

Photo: Retailer

Presidents’ Day is this Monday, but the Presidents’ Day mattress deals have been rolling in all week long. Most brands are taking off at least $100, while others are throwing in free pillows and sheet sets for a total bedding refresh — and here, we’ve rounded up the best deals of the best mattresses, most of which we’ve tested ourselves. (We’ve even got some discount codes exclusive to Strategist readers.) To make comparison shopping a bit easier, all prices below are for queen-size mattresses, but every discount is available on mattresses in other sizes, too. And if you’re having trouble deciding on which one to buy, be sure to check out our tried-and-tested favorites here.

Allswell

Allswell is taking 15 percent off all mattresses and 20 percent off everything else with code STRAT21. We particularly like its luxe hybrid option, which former Strategist editor Margaret Rhodes calls “a stellar firm mattress: You’re being good to your spine, but the feel is still comfortable.”

Aviya

Aviya Mattress - Queen
$1,049

When former Strategist writer Lori Keong tested the Aviya mattress, she was “amazed at just how propped-up and aligned my body felt while supine, yet how comfortably I slept thanks to the padding of the quilted foam top.” And this weekend, readers of the Strategist can take $200 off their purchase at Aviya with code STRAT200.

Avocado

There are a few different Presidents’ Day deals happening over at Avocado, which was deemed one of the best eco-friendly mattresses by our editors. You can get $100 off the hybrid green or vegan mattresses with code STRATAVO, two free pillows with the purchase of a hybrid green or vegan mattress with code STRATPILLOW, and $200 off the latex or luxury crib mattresses with code STRATGREEN.

If you’re looking to update your bed frame, rather than your mattress, you can take $300 off their mid-century modern bed frame — making it $2,599 for a queen-size frame — and $150 off a few other styles.

Bear

Strategist readers can take 20 percent off across Bear’s site with code STRAT20, and they’ll throw in two of their hypoallergenic Cloud pillows and a mattress protector for free with every mattress purchase. Their OG mattress is an excellent choice for serious athletes, according to senior writer Karen Iorio Adelson, and their top-of-the-line hybrid mattress was so comfortable that Strategist contributor Steven John “fell asleep faster than I have on just about any other mattress I’ve ever tried.”

Birch by Helix

Birch by Helix, another eco-friendly mattress, was described by deputy editor Maxine Builder as a “plush yet supportive mattress that’s suitable for most types of sleepers.” And now through February 21, you can get $200 off their mattress and two Eco-Rest pillows for free when you use code STRAT200 at checkout.

Casper

Casper makes a handful of Strategist-approved mattresses. There’s the original mattress that we dubbed best all-around, their Wave Hybrid that we’ve said is a nice firm mattress, and this Nova Hybrid, which we recommend if you prefer a softer mattress. And for Presidents’ Day, you can take 15 percent off any of Casper’s mattresses (as well as 10 percent off everything else, including pillows, bedding, and bed frames).

Cocoon by Sealy

Cocoon by Sealy is offering a 35 percent discount on mattresses and adding a free set of pillows and sheets with your purchase, too. Their firmer mattress was tested by former Strategist senior editor Simone Kitchens, who reported that it’s “supportive enough to help alleviate some chronic back pain.”

Eight Sleep

Eight Sleep makes a smart, app-compatible, all-memory-foam, temperature-regulating mattress that it calls the Pod— and for Presidents’ Day, the system is $250 off. But Strategist readers can take an extra $100 off when they use the code STRAT100 at checkout. You can also use that code to take $100 off the temperature-control and health-tracking mattress cover.

Layla also has discounts on their sleep accessories, too, including $30 off their weighted blanket that we think is the best warming weighted blanked to gift.

Leesa

We named Leesa’s original foam mattress one of the best all-around mattresses because “it should suit all kinds of sleepers and is a good mattress for anyone who doesn’t want to overthink it.” For Presidents’ Day, it’s offering up to $400 off mattresses and 20 percent off bundles, which include a mattress with accessories, like mattress protectors, duvet sets, or adjustable bases. Leesa is also throwing in two free pillows with any purchase of a mattress, either alone or as part of a bundle.
