Introducing the New York Sweatshirt Edit

Maybe you’ve seen it happening over the last 12 months: a wave of New Yorkers who have been smothering themselves in New York City merch, like baseball caps from the Odeon and tote bags from their local hardware store. Maybe you’re bummed you missed the drop of Jake Gyllenhaal’s tie-dyed Russ & Daughters tee. Or maybe you just read our most recent cover story on Zizmorcore and thought you’d like to hop on the trend to show that you, too, are not going anywhere.

We are totally complicit in all of this; in recent years the magazine has teamed up with Only NY and Marc Jacobs on collections that prominently feature our logo, and it was our co-founder Milton Glaser who actually drew the I ♥ NY logo. And now, we’ve created a new line of merch in the form of a limited-edition Sweatshirt Edit.

There are three sweatshirts. First up, a New York hoodie for $64.99 with a puffy logo that Glaser designed in the early days of the magazine. And for $44.99, two crewnecks: The Best Bet sweatshirt refers to the Strategist section that’s appeared in the magazine for the past 52 years, and Content harkens back to a T-shirt from the Cut that blew up the internet a few years ago. All three are available for preorder from our merch partner DFTBA below.

And if you want some Zizmorcore for your home, there’s also a poster of the cover of our Spring Style issue, available in a variety of sizes at Pixels.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
