A Bunch of Furniture and Décor From Studio McGee’s Target Line Is on Sale

Photo: Target

Target has long been one of our go-to sources for affordable, nice-looking furniture and décor, in part because it is always cooking up cool lines with collaborators like Levi’s or Dwell magazine or John Derian that you won’t find anywhere else. Recently, Target worked with Studio McGee — the firm founded by Shea and Syd McGee, who star in Netflix’s Dream Home Makeover series — on a collection of pieces inspired by the couple’s California-meets-French-cottage aesthetic. Already affordable, many of those things are now on sale for even less for a limited time only. From chairs to tables to desks to rugs to a Nancy Meyers–worthy couch, we’ve rounded up some of the best stuff from the sale below for anyone looking to do a spring refresh without spending a ton.

This handsome leather magazine holder seems a more fitting place for all of those unread issues of New York Magazine you’ve piled up on the floor.

A lovely side table with curving legs that could go next to a sofa — or your bed, as a nightstand.

Now that we’re starting to leave our homes to visit those of friends and family, maybe you’re looking for a new doormat to welcome guests. This one, made of coir (or coconut fiber), has a block print that not only attracts the eye, but will also help hide wear and dirt.

According to astrologer Susan Miller, “Feng shui says you have to have armrests or else a person feels unstable.” You may need to zoom in, but this upholstered chair has rope woven around each arm, giving it even more texture.

This striking desk also combines materials: The woven fronts of its drawers and cabinets create a really nice contrast against its black finish.

You might want a lamp to put on that desk (or side table or nightstand). As a nice bonus, this double-headed one comes with LED bulbs.

We love the stripes on this rug, which can be used both indoors and out.

You can truly never have too many storage baskets, and this one looks a lot nicer than its (temporary) $20 price tag suggests.

These (faux) leather chairs would look as nice around a dining table as they would around a coffee table. Instead of rope woven around the arms, this chair has a rope-woven seat beneath the cushion.

For those who love the woven look, the corded backrest and seat on this wood-framed chair makes it feel Scandinavian in the best way.

A marble-top accent table for under $100 is more or less the definition of a good deal.

Finally, an elegant, minimalist sofa with sloping armrests in a goes-with-everything taupe — for less than $500.
