For this week’s “Don’t Dillydally,” we’ve surfaced a range of things we’re sure will sell out, including a slip dress from intimates brand Parade, a new American Girl Doll, and a third collab from Ganni and Levi’s.
Tower28 Liner
Beauty brand Tower 28 — which makes some of our favorite lip glosses and cream blushes — recently released a multi-use, matte liner that can be used on both eyes and lips. In line with the rest of Tower 28’s offerings, this liner is formulated for sensitive skin. There are currently three colors available — a rosy nude, chocolate brown, a pink-toned taupe.
Parade Slip Dress
Parade has reimagined the slip dress, adding details like a tie-back, adjustable straps, and darts in the bust to create an optimal shape. The dress is made from super-soft recycled satin and has a relaxed fit. There are six colors available, including this baby blue color called Bubble Bath.
American Girl
There’s a new American Girl Doll in the historical canon. Her name is Claudie Wells and she’s a creative from the Harlem Renaissance. Her father’s a baker (you can purchase a ’20s-era kitchen reproduction separately), her mother’s a reporter and she’s very close with a fluffy dog named Dizzy Dot, who belongs to her boarding house manager Miss Amelia. Her associated book is written by bestselling author of The Vanishing Half Brit Bennett, and tells the story of Claudie trying to find her place in the world. In addition to the doll you can also purchase various accouterments, like pajamas (complete with a bonnet), a scooter, and a glitzy sequined gown, designed by Samantha Black in collaboration with Harlem Fashion Row.
Ganni x Levi’s
Levi’s has teamed up with Danish fashion brand Ganni for a third time on a collection for fall. The brand brings their signature playful style to Levi’s denim, incorporating ruffles, bright colors and interesting tailored fits. Everything goes up to a 3X (US 22). Pieces from the collection are going quickly, but there’s still a few pieces with full size runs — like this ruffled jean jacket, which is made from organic cotton and has a relaxed fit.
Heywear NYC Capsule Collection
Heywear, known for their fast eye exams and nice-looking frames, has released a NYC capsule collection. There are four styles, including these chunky blue acetate frames which have a wide fit and — if you’re not local to NYC — ships same day from NoHo.
Specialized x Fjällräven
Specialized, which makes the best road-biking helmet, has collaborated with Fjällräven on a collection of bike-ready clothing and accessories. There’s everything from lightweight vests to a dri-fit dress to this handlebar bag, which adds storage to any bike.
Evian x Rothy’s
Every year, Evian recycles the water bottles used at the U.S. Open. This year, they’re using it to make Rothy’s signature thread, which was then used for an assortment of courtside accessories. That includes these slip-ons, which reimagines Rothy’s classic sneaker in Evian’s color palette. A note: Since these sneakers are part of a limited edition collaboration, they’re final sale.
Tatung at Yun Hai
This statusy rice cooker is finally stateside, by way of Taiwanese pantry shop Yun Hai. It’s a favorite of Strategist senior editor Chelsea Peng, who grew up using one. “It’s truly super versatile, which is why I think it’s better than a lot of rice cookers,” she says, noting that it’s a steamer so it handles rice, vegetables and fish and buns. Its US arrival also marks two Yun Hai-exclusive colorways. The green (currently out of stock) is, as Peng puts it, “iconic.” It goes on sale tomorrow but given its ubiquitousness (and the specialness of the limited edition shades), it’s already quickly selling out. So if you’re thinking of grabbing one for yourself, don’t dillydally.
The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape.
