For this week’s Don’t Dillydally, we’ve surfaced a range of things that are sure to sell out — including shoes from Sandy Liang, a restock of Brightland’s strawberry vinegar, and a collaboration between Engineered Garments and Lee.
Malin + Goetz Foaming Facial Cleanser
Malin + Goetz — which makes some of our favorite candles and shampoo — recently launched a facial cleanser, the brand’s first new release in the category in a decade. The cream-to-foam formula gently removes dirt, oil, and makeup using sensitive-skin-friendly surfactants, and it contains moisturizing ingredients like jojoba milk, meadowfoam seed oil, vitamin E, and glycerin.
Mate the Label x Parachute
Strategist favorite Parachute has teamed up with Mate the Label — which we previously dubbed one of the best sustainable clothing brands — on a loungewear collection. The comfy offerings include a robe made from tencel, a sleep tank and shorts, and thermal tops and pants, all of which come in a variety of soothing, neutral shades.
Oishii x Brightland
Brightland restocked its strawberry vinegar for a third time, which may come as a surprise after the brand said the previous drop would be the last. We’re betting that this run will go even more quickly than last time. Oishii’s creamy, seedless omakase berries have only gotten more popular since the vinegar debuted last July, and according to the brand, there have been daily requests to bring it back. So if you’re thinking about grabbing it, don’t dillydally.
Tower28 MakeWaves Mascara
Tower28, a beauty brand known for its sensitive-skin formulations, is a go-to for makeup artists and Strategist beauty writer Rio Viera-Newton for its non-sticky lip glosses and blendable cream blushes. The latest launch from the brand is MakeWaves mascara, which has a lightweight and buildable formula that’s vegan and cruelty-free. The dual-sided brush catches every lash and applies product without clumping — no matter how many coats you apply.
WWF x Happy Socks
Happy Socks’ latest and most sustainable collection yet is a collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund. Everything is made from organic cotton, and through 2024, 10 percent of the range’s net sales will go to WWF with a guaranteed contribution of $100,000. There are lots of designs to choose from — including this orange animal-print pair with a written message about illegal wildlife trade. If you want to match with the tiny person in your life, all the styles are available in kids’ sizes too.
Alaïa x Superga
Superga, which we’ve said makes the very best minimalist white sneaker, has teamed up with storied fashion house Alaïa, adding a few high-design details to two classic silhouettes. This limited-edition shoe has double-A stitching, a leather insole, and a co-branded satin label, turning the subtle trainer into a true “if you know, you know” flex. The shoes are also available in black, and you can opt for a platform style for a little more height.
Magnolia Bakery x Tula
Magnolia Bakery’s banana pudding has reached far beyond cult status — to the point that you can now exfoliate with its scent, thanks to Tula. The limited-edition body polish uses lemon peel and banana to brighten alongside AHAs to chemically exfoliate the skin.
Engineered Garments x Lee
Denim brand Lee has collaborated with New York–based, Japanese-led label Engineered Garments on a collection that expands on timeless shapes with details like animal-print lining and monochrome patchwork. This denim jacket is reversible and, when turned inside out, reveals sections of fleece, faux fur, and nylon. Everything is cut slim, so the brand recommends sizing up.
Houston White x Target
Target has teamed up with Minneapolis-based designer Houston White on an ongoing series of clothing collections. The first is made up of menswear-inspired pieces — including this corduroy button-down, which comes in an eye-catching shade of blue.
Guest in Residence
Gigi Hadid recently launched her brand, Guest in Residence, which makes “heirloom quality” cashmere that’s designed to last for “years.” The initial release, called Fall Color Pop, includes everything from joggers to dresses to turtlenecks and pullovers in a range of sunny shades. This shrunken cardigan’s lightweight knit will transition seamlessly from summer to fall.
Sandy Liang Shoes
Just in time for the resurgence of the ballet flat (though some will argue they never went out of style), Sandy Liang has released a Mary Jane shaped like a pointe shoe. In addition to a blocky toe box, it has an adjustable buckle strap and a small, stacked leather heel. There are three shades of satin and one pair in black leather, all of which are selling out quickly. Snag the few remaining sizes of the black leather while you still can.
Casablanca x Globe-Trotter
“It” fashion brand Casablanca has teamed up with expert-vetted luggage-maker Globe-Trotter on a six-piece collection that pays homage to Pan Am–era travel. All of the travel cases are made from vulcanized fiberboard and feature Casablanca’s signature bamboo handle and contrasting brass hardware. The largest size is already sold out, but you can still snag the carry-on, which is approved for most airplane cabins and has a tricolor Casablanca motif on the inside.
The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
