11 Things on Sale You’ll Actually Want to Buy: From Nespresso to Floyd

We’re off to a great start to the week because I’ve spotted plenty of goodies in the internet’s clearance bins, including plant-based dry shampoo, an emerald-green patio set, and the vitamin-C serum included in Rio Viera-Newton’s original skin-care Google doc. (And a lot of these would make good Mother’s Day gifts, hint, hint.) We’ll have a massive roundup of Memorial Day–weekend sales for you next week, but if you just can’t wait, a few brands have announced sales extra early this year — like the Detroit-based furniture brand Floyd, which you’ll find below.

Here’s a gift for craft-happy moms: Cricut’s teeniest heat-transfer press, which is just $39 right now. It has three heat settings and comes with an insulated base and auto-off feature.

If you’re not one for an overly scented dry shampoo, hairstylist Greg Ruggeri opts for this plant-based option from Act+Acre that “doesn’t make the hair feel sticky or tacky in any way.” It’s 20 percent off when you apply the on-site coupon.

Remove even the most stubborn makeup with this aesthetician-recommended microfiber washcloth that is both delicate on skin and machine washable.

We named the Dyson Ball Animal 2 our favorite vacuum for pet hair, and the upgraded version is $100 off today. Former Strategist senior writer Karen Iorio Adelson appreciated how easily it sucked up tufts of cat fur and “unearthed layers of dust and crumbs that had been buried in my thick living-room rug for months — if not longer.”

It’s not really the season to wear a fleece pullover, but it is the right time of year to get the best discounts. All sizes are surprisingly still in stock.

The only thing better than ballet flats are ballet flats with a bow. These are 40 percent off and available in black, beige, and gold.

Soko Glam is offering 20 percent off all Klairs products for a limited time, including the vitamin-C serum that Rio loved enough to name-drop in her Google doc of skin-care essentials.

Klairs recently released an even more potent vitamin-C serum that is formulated with 10 percent ethyl ascorbic acid — a potent derivative that won’t be too harsh on sensitive skin — as well as niacinamide.

From $1,475

Floyd is offering up to 30 percent off everything through Memorial Day weekend. This stain-resistant, “take apart–able” flat-pack sofa was one of our favorite sofas in a box.

From $1,260

Negroni-spritz season is upon us, so prep your balcony for some summer sipping with our favorite patio set, which comes in five configurations and four colors.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
