It seems like everyone I know is on a blindingly sunny and enviably long European vacation. After said trip, marked by the obligatory “mentally, still here” retrospective post, they’re sporting a bronzed-olive tan for what seems like the rest of the summer. For those among us who will not be island hopping anytime soon, or don’t find the UV exposure worth the added color, there’s self-tanner. There are lots of options out there, but currently our favorite Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam is 30 percent off at Amazon and Ulta. It comes recommended by two tan stylists, including Sabrina Johnson, who likes that it’s made from high-quality ingredients, is readily available (you can find it at just about any drugstore), and comes in lots of shades. “Their products tend to be really dark, so they work for dark skin,” she says. The foam formula is also pretty to apply. All you need is a mitt to spread the color evenly and about six-to-eight hours to let the tan develop — about the same time as a flight from New York to Ibiza.
