Memorial Day weekend is almost here, and the mattress discounts are deep. Many brands are slashing prices on mattresses and offering sitewide deals on sheets, blankets, and pillows. Below, we’ve rounded up all the best deals — including a few just for Strategist readers (be sure to take note of our exclusive discount codes). One word of advice: Let our mattress reviews be your guide. Nearly all of the mattresses below have been tested by the Strategist team, and you can read more about them here.
Editor’s note: All of the prices shown are for queen-size mattresses.
The Bear Original mattress has a temperature-regulating cover that’s designed to soothe soreness and boost muscle recovery after workouts. Through May 31, you can use code STRAT35 to take 35 percent off sitewide; you’ll also receive two free Cloud pillows with every mattress purchase.
Birch by Helix
Through June 26, get $400 off any Birch mattress with code STRAT400. The brand’s ecofriendly hybrid mattresses are made to order using sustainably sourced materials, including organic cotton and Rainforest Alliance–certified Talalay latex. You’ll also get two free organic cotton pillows with any mattress purchase.
Arguably the originator of the mattress-in-a-box trend, Casper is offering up to $800 off from now through June 7 with code STRAT. While its Original foam mattress is not ideal for hot sleepers, former Strategist editor Margaret Rhodes says, “For everyone else, you can’t go wrong.” If you prefer a hybrid mattress, the Casper Wave Hybrid has both contoured foam and dome-shaped gel pods to provide support for your back, neck, and shoulders (former Strategist writer Lori Keong called it “a souped-up, premium version of the original Casper”).
Cocoon by Sealy
Through May 31, Sealy’s Cocoon Chill mattresses are 35 percent off, no code needed. In addition to offering cooling technology, Strategist senior editor Simone Kitchens, who tested the all-foam model, found that “the firm option was supportive enough to help alleviate some chronic back pain.” With every purchase, the brand will also throw in two free pillows and a sheet set.
Set your preferred sleep temperature and this smart mattress from Eight Sleep will warm or cool itself throughout the night to keep you comfortable. (Read more about how it works here.) It also offers a range of sleep-tracking features via its phone app. Right now, you can take $250 off the Pod Pro mattress, $100 off the Pod Pro cover (which transforms any mattress into a smart mattress), and up to 25 percent off accessories with any mattress or cover purchase.
Through June 10, you can snag the Emma mattress for 30 percent off — no code required. The brand is also offering up to 30 percent off accessories and 35 percent off the Emma Original Bundle, which includes a mattress, an adjustable bed base, a mattress protector, and two cooling pillows. Plus, Strategist readers get an extra 5 percent off all purchases with code STRATEGIST.
Helix has a multi-tiered deal exclusively for Strategist readers: Get $150 off purchases of $600 or more with code STRAT150, $200 off purchases of $1,250 or more with code STRAT200, $250 off purchases of $1,700 or more with code STRAT250, $300 off purchases of $2,550 or more with code STRAT300, $350 off purchases of $2,700 or more with code STRAT350, and $400 off purchases of $2,950 or more with code STRAT400. Leesa’s Memorial Day sale runs through June 6. The brand — which makes one of our absolute favorite all-foam mattresses — is taking up to $700 off mattresses and will give you two free pillows with any mattress purchase. (Sheets and pillowcases are also on sale for 20 percent off.)
Molecule is taking 30 percent off the Molecule Hybrid mattress, 25 percent off the Molecule 2 mattress, and up to 25 percent off mattress toppers, bedding, and pillows with code MEMORIALDAY.
After former Strategist editor (and current stomach-sleeper) Casey Lewis tested Nectar’s memory-foam mattress, she reported that it has “just the right amount of give, in that it’s comfortable for me to move around on but I don’t feel anyone (or anything) else moving around.” Through June 5, Nectar is taking $100 off most mattresses and throwing in a complimentary sheet set, mattress protector, and cooling pillows (up to a $499 value) with each mattress purchase — no code required.
Through June 6, Nest Bedding is taking 25 percent off all mattresses — and if you buy the Owl or Sparrow mattress, the brand will bundle it with two free pillows. Both mattresses qualify for Nest’s Lifetime Renewal Exchange program, which gives you a one-time replacement of your mattress’s comfort layer at any time, even years after your purchase.
The Nolah Original Mattress is constructed with temperature-neutral foam the company says makes it cooler than any other memory-foam mattress on the market, and according to Strategist associate editor and notorious sweaty sleeper Jenna Milliner-Waddell, it lives up to its claim. “This memory foam does feel cooler to sleep on than other memory foam I’ve slept on,” she writes. Through June 6, the brand is offering up to $250 off their Original 10-inch mattress or $300 off their Signature 12-inch mattress, both of which will come with two free pillows. Or if you prefer a hybrid mattress with a bit more support, you’ll receive up to $700 off the Evolution 15-inch hybrid mattress or $600 off the Natural 11-inch latex hybrid mattress, no code necessary.
Parachute is taking 20 percent off sitewide, no code necessary. While you could just pick up a new set of linen sheets, the company also makes a great innerspring mattress that’s designed to be firm in the middle for back support and softer under the head and feet for comfort.
Through May 31, PlushBeds is taking $1,250 off adult mattresses of any size and throwing in free pillows, sheets, and a mattress protector (up to a $549 value). Additionally, mattress toppers, pillows, bedding, and assorted other mattresses are 25 percent off, and adjustable bed bases and headboards are up to 60 percent off. Finally, with the exclusive code STRAT100, Strategist readers can take an extra $100 off their mattress purchase on top of other discounts.
Saatva makes our pick for the best overall mattress you can buy online, the Saatva Classic, and the brand has launched a truly excellent Memorial Day deal that is exclusive to the Strategist: Take $450 off purchases of $1,000 or more by shopping through the link below. Eagle-eyed shoppers may note that Saatva frequently runs offers for $450 off a purchase of $4,000, but that’s far higher than the $1,000 threshold the brand has extended to Strategist readers — so don’t sleep on this deal, sleep on a new Saatva mattress that you snagged at a deep discount.
Serta’s aptly named Arctic mattress is designed to keep sweaty sleepers cool, and through June 14, the Arctic, as well as Serta’s iComfort hybrid and foam mattresses, are $400 off. Serta is also taking $200 off their Perfect Sleeper line, which promises top-of-the-line pressure relief.
Tempur-Pedic, known for its pressure-relieving memory foam, is offering discounts on some of its most popular mattresses through May 31. You can take $200 off the TEMPUR-Adapt, the TEMPUR-LuxeAdapt, and the TEMPUR-ProAdapt or $300 off the TEMPUR-LuxeBreeze and the TEMPUR-ProBreeze. A variety of mattress toppers and bedding are also on sale.
Tuft & Needle
Save up to $500 on Tuft & Needle mattresses, no code required. If you’re a hot sleeper, the Mint mattress boasts extra cooling technology compared to the company’s original mattress. You can also get up to 15 percent off accessories like sheets, pillows, and mattress toppers.
All mattresses from WinkBeds, our favorite brand for achy backs, are $300 off through June 6. Strategist senior editor Katy Schneider praised the quality construction: “From top to bottom, these have a thin layer of foam (for comfiness), air springs (to keep things cool), a support pad (to keep your lumbar area well-supported), and tempered steel coils (for pushback and to keep the mattress from losing shape).”
Yogabed by Yogasleep
Yogasleep is offering 20 percent sitewide with code STRAT22, including their foam Yogabed, which evenly disperses your body weight to reduce pressure points as you sleep. Bedding accessories and sound machines — including the Dohm, a favorite of Strategist editors, therapists, and acupuncturists alike — are also on sale.
Zinus — which makes some of our favorite “crazy affordable” mattresses — is offering up to 40 percent off sitewide. The brand’s Cooling Comfort Plus Mattress is made of high-density memory foam and topped with an extra layer of green-tea-infused, odor-neutralizing foam for increased comfort.
