Gwyneth Paltrow And Chris Martin Had Lunch With Guy RitchieGwyneth, Chris Martin, and Guy Ritchie had lunch at Fresno in East Hampton sans Madonna. What could they have been talking about? Plus, Jill Zarin decided she hates “eye lockers,” Peter Cook got a too shiny manicure, and more you missed if you weren’t in the Hamptons this past weekend.

Former Roadside Wreck Home to New Hamptons BBQ It has taken a little longer than expected, but Townline BBQ, the new Hamptons joint from the group that runs Nick & Toni’s, is nearly ready to open its doors. The restaurant occupies the space that housed Alison on the Beach, which had to be vacated because it was close to being condemned. (“The insurance company wouldn’t insure us anymore,” says Alison on the Beach owner Alison Becker-Hurt. “We had to move out.” This goes a long way to explaining why the town dragged its heels for so long before granting a certificate of occupancy for Townline.)

Old Frenchmen Pass Facial Inspection at GoldBar in Little ItalyBrooklyn Heights: “Closed by the Commissioner of Health” clearly taken lightly at Heights Cafe where diners have been spotted munching the mediocre fare. [Brooklyn Heights Blog] Chelsea: Richard Ruben, author of The Farmer’s Market Cookbook, will host classes at the Institute of Culinary Education starting June 1 that begin with an ingredient hunt at Union Square’s Greenmarket. [Blog Chelsea] East Hampton: Restaurants open seven days starting this weekend, including Nick & Toni’s and Harbor Bistro. [Hamptons.com] Fort Greene: Locals search for answers to the fate of the space at Lafayette and Cumberland Avenues, have high hopes for Thai but as yet no answers. [Brooklyn Record] Little Italy: A two-way mirror intensifies the door policy at GoldBar, but if you have a face like an old Frenchman, you shouldn’t have a problem. [Down by the Hipster] Prospect Heights: Flatbush Farm hosting another barbecue this weekend. [Eater]

Townline BBQ Beefing Up Hamptons DiningChelsea: Amy Sacco plans to dump West 27th Street and redo Bungalow 8 downtown, leaving B&T crowds free rein in clubland. [Down by the Hipster] Dumbo: The Smack Mellon arts organization hosts a neighborhood party tonight from 5 to 8 p.m.; brave the rain for Almondine treats and Kelso beer. [Dumbo NYC] Hamptons: The owners of Nick & Toni’s will have their new venture, Townline BBQ, up and running in Sagaponack this summer. [Eater] Harlem: A coffee tasting tonight at East Harlem Café includes free desserts. [Uptown Flavor] Park Slope: D’Agostino definitely out, Bank of America in. [Gowanus Lounge] Prospect-Lefferts-Gardens: Rundown Western Beef could use some feedback to prompt a renovation. [across the park] Williamsburg: 25 Broadway apparently getting a teahouse in the front and Pilates in the rear; fate of a nearby space less certain. [Brooklyn Record]
