It Takes a Village to Get Heidi Klum Out of Her Halloween Costume

Heidi Klum is basically the queen of Halloween. The model-slash-reality star is known for her no-holds-barred costumes that involve everything from full-body makeup to state-of-the-art prosthetics. They’re so epic, in fact, that they can be more trick than treat, especially when it’s time to take them off.

“It’s not all that glamorous. Last year, I was Jessica Rabbit, it took two hours to disassemble that,” Klum told the Cut at last night’s amfAR Inspiration Gala. “So then really it’s like, I’m in a hotel room with these four guys, ripping these boobs off me, the butt off me, all this stuff that I had on my face. I mean, it’s not pretty. It’s very humiliating. And then you stand there and they’re like scrubbing all this stuff because it’s glued on to your skin! You’re just butt-naked with all these dudes doing this stuff so it’s like, Oy.”

What can we expect from the master of disguise this year? Klum was coy, but she did reveal that she’ll go back to her roots: “My theme is gonna be a German theme, and it’s gonna be made in Germany.”
