The Nobel Prize Committee announced its final winner this morning, as if there is nothing else going on in the world that we might have to think about or be paying attention to. Congratulations to Bob Dylan for winning the Nobel Prize in literature (o…..kay), but lest we forget, the list of six Nobel Laureates this year are all men.
Not to sound like one of those novelty T-shirts you get at the tchotchke shop on the boardwalk, but after this year, it feels like every woman deserves a Nobel Prize, am I right, ladies???
In its 115-year history, 833 men have won the Nobel Prize, compared to 48 women. Four black women have won the Nobel Prize — in its entire history! Wow, and we thought this world actually respected women’s work. Just kidding.
