LOOK #1: Retro Vamp
“Classic New York Glamour” was the M.O. for Gabriella Risatti, owner of Gabriella New York Bridal Salon. She envisions her bride tying the knot at a swanky locale like Gramercy Terrace and wanted to capture that vibe with sleek black accessories. Rodrigo Padilla, hairstylist for Sally Hershberger Downtown (212-206-8700; sallyhershberger.com), pulled the model’s S-shaped waves into a side ponytail and fastened it with a feathered headpiece—a style he says was popular among Parisian operagoers in the thirties. Makeup artist Landy Dean (212-358-7780; landydean.com) then used Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink to fashion Hepburn-esque wings, explaining, “The noir eyeliner is like an additional black accessory.”

LOOK #2: Polished Creative
Lily Thorne, a store manager at cult boutique Bird, describes this elegant ensemble as “fifties movie star–meets–Egyptian goddess”; she pictures an artist type wearing it to a loft wedding in Dumbo. Padilla complemented the getup with bouncy, brushed-out roller curls and a sexy side part. Dean, meanwhile, swept Vincent Longo Dew Drop Radiant blush in Sandalwood and Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder in Candlelight on the tops of her cheekbones for a natural glow, and finished with a swipe of Nars Love Devotion sheer-finish lipstick to match the statement necklace.

LOOK #3: Boho Bombshell
Mark Ingram, owner of Mark Ingram Atelier, played with textures by mixing a grosgrain ribbon sash with a guipure jacket, resulting in a “Haight-Ashbury bride circa 1970.” Padilla twirled her hair into a purposely messy chignon, with a few waves pulled forward to frame the face (“I saw her as a modern Lady of Fátima, brighter than the sun,” he says), while Dean polished things off with shimmery taupe eyes (a blend of the M.A.C shadows Concrete and Shroom) and an “effortlessly sexy” semi-matte lip (Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Liner in Plum).

LOOK #4: Elegant Anglophile
The fascinators on show at last year’s royal wedding were the primary inspiration for Corinne Purdy, owner of ladylike chainlet Purdy Girl. “Our au courant bride embodies the romance of an English garden wedding with elements of whimsy and femininity,” she says. With the side-sitting hat in mind, Padilla gave the bride Taylor Swift–esque coils and then drew her hair into a low, loose chignon. Dean completed the look with Maybelline Color Sensational lipstick in Fifth Ave Fuchsia. “This shade used to feel grandma-y,” says Dean, “but now it’s trendy when worn with a clean eye.”
