Best traditional star Christmas tree topper

Kurt Adler 8-Inch Gold Glittered 5 Point Star Treetop
$13

“Sweet Jesus … I finally found a tree topper, after six years, that was a star that didn’t topple over from being too heavy. This star is gorgeous. I have it on a 7.5-foot artificial tree, and it looks great. My tree tapers to the top like most fake ones do. It has a wide-enough coil base so that you can double up or triple up the spire of the tree if needed. It does not look dark on my tree because it is glittery, and I have white lights. For the price … you can’t go wrong. I would even use it for an Xmas decoration if it didn’t fit my tree.”

Best small gold Christmas tree topper

Kurt Adler 6-1/4-Inch Gold Wire Star Treetop
$11

“This Kurt Adler Gold Wire Star Tree Topper is absolutely beautiful. It is glittered all over but not overdone. It has beautiful intricate cutout work in the lace that is so unique and adds to the interest of the star. The cutout in the lace allowed me to wind a single yellow light into the center of the topper to add just a little illumination from inside the star. I was able to put it on the spire of the tree, and got it to stand perfectly, with very little effort. The topper is finished identically on both sides, so it can be viewed from any angle. If you are looking for an elegant, refined tree topper, this Kurt Adler design is the one for you!”

Best light-up silver star Christmas tree topper

“All I wanted for my Christmas tree was a gorgeous white star that matched my white lights. Nowadays, most white lights are LED and have a bluish hue to me. I was thrilled when I came across this Kurt Adler star. It was the perfect color and made my tree complete. It’s just a gorgeous star with its beautiful details. A must-buy!”

Best light-up multicolored star Christmas tree topper

“I’ve been searching for a tree topper for the longest time. I wanted a star, but something that had a retro feel. The star my parents always had looked just like this, but was all-white. I’m so glad I found this because I wanted a little color. The star is a perfect size for my 6.5-foot tree, and it’s easy to put on and have it stay on. Other toppers would always fall off or constantly look crooked. I’m glad I bought this.”

Best oversize star Christmas tree topper

$50

“We just received the tree topper, and it is even better in person. It is atop a nine-foot tree, but I believe it can even work with a 12 footer. The star produces a soft white glow that was just the finishing touch our tree needed. My wife and I had been searching for a tree topper for quite some time at the various local stores without much luck. This 14-inch, seven-point Capiz star topper is hands down better-looking than anything we came across previously. For those wondering, it is a one-sided topper that has a plastic backing. It works well for our situation because we have the tree up against a wall. For those needing a 360-degree topper, this might not be the best option for you. It is a bit heavy, but we just stuffed in several of the branches (artificial), and it is well-supported and straight. We are extremely pleased with this product and highly recommend it to take your Christmas tree to the next level.”

Best traditional angel Christmas tree topper

“This tree topper is the prettiest I have ever seen. It covers exactly what I was looking for in a tree-topper decoration. I couldn’t decide if I wanted an angel or a star, and this gave me both! Even though it is not a lighted piece, which is what I expected to find in my search, the star is so sparkly, it is better than the hassle of a light and getting an additional cord on the tree. The hole in the bottom of the figure is just right to snugly fit over the top branch. The only thing I would do to make this better is have wings on the angel, but I love it so much, I would not nick it’s star for that. I love it so much, I am keeping her out on display all year.”

Best African-American angel Christmas tree topper

“This is a beautiful African-American angel, so delicate and refined. I received a lot of positive comments about this item from friends over the holidays. It is a showstopper, as a tree topper or table ornament.”

Best light-up angel Christmas tree topper

“Honestly, I have spent years casually looking at these angels whenever I happened to see them at the store. They were one of two things. Kind of ugly and just plain creepy. Sorry, angels of the world, it had to be said. Some of them just look ridiculously cheap, too! Then on the other end of the spectrum were glorious angels that broke the bank. I hesitantly started looking on Amazon and was amazed at the selection. It took a lot of thought, but my family finally decided on this angel. We just fell in love with her when we opened the box! Her features are delicately painted on, and her dress is sparkly, but not gaudy. Like many other reviewers, we also had to change the light bulb because the blinking just did not work for us. No biggie, though! She will now top our tree for many years to come.”

Best unique Christmas tree topper

$30

“He is cute as a button. I was really hesitating to get either this or a star, which is usually what people consider for a tree topper. I’m so glad I got this! The snowman is just as pictured. Beware, though: The picture online shows the snowman being really big and hugging the whole tree because the tree is definitely a small one. I have a 7.5-foot tree and the snowman doesn’t hug the whole tree, it’s more like he just grasps it. He also looks smaller when you place him on a 7.5-foot tree. Nevertheless, he looks absolutely charming, and anyone who sees him will have a smile on their face! The arms can be adjusted a bit, and so can the scarf. I wouldn’t say the quality of snowman material is excellent, but it’s good enough to make your entire Christmas tree look splendid! Couple of last points: I would place him in such a way that his back isn’t displayed in the open because his backside is thin and mostly bland. I also wouldn’t recommend him if your tree is any bigger than 7.5 to 8 feet because then he starts looking really small and disproportional to the tree. Otherwise, give him a shot, you won’t regret it!”
