New Stuff Alert: Rimowa’s Backpack and Salter House for Men

Fishwife always seems to be collaborating with yet another company; this time it’s the hair-accessory brand Chunks. These opalescent fish clips are quite pretty and would make me feel like a mermaid, plus the storage tin is charming.

For a different approach to fishy accessorizing, consider this tiny fish-shaped bag from Crumpler’s collaboration with Australian musician Amy Taylor. The largercross-body versionis already sold out, but I like this teeny one that can be attached to a bag or belt loop, or worn as a smaller cross-body with the included carabiners and removable rope shoulder strap.

La Ligne has released a limited-edition collection of pajamas in collaboration with Observed by Us, the design line created by Kirsten Dunst and Jessica Herschko. The collection includes women’s, men’s, and kids’ PJs, slippers, and socks. I especially like this whimsical set with storybook-style icons (and there’s a matching kids’ set too).

Hanna Andersson has teamed up with Strategist-favorite Dusen Dusen on a collection of bold-patterned PJs and socks for kids and adults. I’m not a parent, but this striped baby sleeper makes me yearn todress a child like a maximalist clown.

Also on the kid front: Colugo has updated its compact stroller, which senior writer Lauren Ro tested out ahead of the launch this week. Ro, who also tested the original version back in 2018, says the new one is still very compact and lightweight, with “truly a one-handed fold”; her first impression is that it’s better than some more expensive compact strollers she’s tried. It weighs only 17 pounds and can even fit in the overhead compartment of an airplane.

If you’re already thinking about holiday shopping, this jewelry case from Sézane’s collaboration with French brand Baziszt would make a nice gift. Each piece in the collection — which includes blouses, boots, skirts, bags, and more — feature Baziszt’s signature embroidery. Some items are nearly sold out already, so if you see something you like, don’t dillydally.

Suddenly, it seems everyone is ahorse girl— or at least dressing like one — and Outdoor Voices is here to provide with a new equestrian collection. If you’re actually saddling up, these riding pants seem like a good choice. There’s also some less technical attire like arugby polo, amustang T-shirt, and “cowgirl jeans,” if you’d rather simply look the part.

We’ve long loved Salter House for its delicate, vintage-inspired house clothes, likenightgownsand bloomer shorts. This week, the brand embarked on its first venture into menswear with a collection of more masculine styles like utility pants and shorts, a shirred button-down cotton shirt, and a pleated short set. Like all Salter House clothes, the new collection is made in New York.

Dunkin’ has teamed up with Tarte for a “Vanilla Icing” collection, featuring lip products and tubing mascara. And right in line with thebag charmandkeychain trendsof the moment, each comes with a coffee- or doughnut-themed charm that has a loop to hold your lip balm.

We’ve recommended a lot of Naturium body-care products including itsbody washandbody oil. The skin-care brand is now launching a two-step brightening routine that features its first-ever toner. The Multi Bright Milky Toner uses an azelaic-acid derivative and fermented-grape-extract complex for exfoliation, with a blend of rice milk and licorice extract for moisturizing. Senior kitchen and dining writer Emma Wartzman spotted Made In’s very good Dutch oven in a new seasonal color, Willow Green, with a gold knob that gives it an especially autumnal touch. Wouldn’t you just love to use it for cooking up a hearty stew?

Fellow’s drip coffee maker is also newly available in an autumnal green (plus two other seasonal colorways). It’s pricey, but according to senior writer Michael Zhao, worth it for “drip fans who are serious about coffee.”

I’ll leave you with Rimowa’s somewhat bizarre new aluminum backpack, which looks extremely similar to one of the brand’s statusy suitcases. It has a padded back with a “quick access” exterior pocket, an interior laptop pocket, and, naturally, a suitcase sleeve attachment. It’s designed to meet the “changing need of a modern urban commuter,” but to me it looks more like a prop from a spy movie.
