It’s that time of year again — Prime Day is officially upon us. (The two-day sale runs from October 13–14; we’ve got everything you need to know about it here and a hub of our favorite deals here.) As in years past, many other retailers are using Prime Day to stage sales of their own. Walmart, for instance, is hosting its even longer Big Save Event through Thursday October 15, with lots of discounts on things from home and kitchen goods, to fashion and beauty, to electronics, to toys and other stuff for kids.
We’ll be combing the offerings throughout Walmart’s Big Save Event to help you surface the actually good deals to be had — and avoid the not-so-good ones, like the “on sale” massage device that’s actually cheaper over at Amazon. Like with any sale, though, we don’t know how long the deals will last, so don’t dillydally. Be sure to follow us on Twitter for any updates. Oh, one more thing: While you have to be a Prime member to take advantage of any Prime Day deals, Walmart’s Big Save Event deals are open to any shopper. (That said, if you’re buying anything, now may be a good time to consider signing up for Walmart+, the retailer’s new membership program that, for roughly $13/month, gets you unlimited free deliveries, discounts on gas, and more perks.)
